Notas: ABSTRACT The Roman religion is articulated around the cultus deorum, the worship of the gods. When these are in a state of balance with Roman society, the evolution of events is propitius for Rome. The impiety breaks the cosmic order and the pax deorum, the peace with the gods, and to restore it, it must be identified and expiated. For this, different ceremonies and rites are used to restore the cosmic order. With this work I intend to carry out an analysis religions concept of the pax deorum, how it can be broken and what solutions are applied to restore the balance and the good relationship with the gods, focusing on to the violence present in the Roman religion and concept of impiety, its within a chronological framework that covers from the Middle Republic to the establishment of the Principate (III-I centuries B.C.).
