note = "The present dissertation aims to illustrate the
implementation of game-based learning as an educational
resource. Specifically, this thesis focuses on the approach
of the aforementioned methodology to the teaching of
Mathematics –particularly to the teaching of Geometry.
The document begins with an analysis of the evolution of
the term “game” based on the definitions given by
different authors, as well as the most relevant
classifications, and the advantages and disadvantages of
the game becoming part of the learning process in school
contexts. Furthermore, this research comprises a study on
the learning-teaching process of Geometry in Primary
schools, and a description of the Van Hiele’s levels of
geometric thinking theory to support a new pedagogical
proposal. Consequently, to achieve more significant
learning outcomes, a didactical mathematical game based on
Guess Who game has been designed and developed to address
the teaching and learning process of some geometrical
contents. Likewise, a sequencing of educational activities
is recommended for an adequate implementation in the
classroom at a primary school level.",
