Evolución de los términos biblioteca y librería en español: estudio documental y lexicográfico

Resumen: Este trabajo presenta un análisis de dos de las palabras más importantes en español relacionadas con el mundo de los libros: biblioteca y librería, a través de un estudio diacrónico mediante un análisis documental selectivo de las dos bases de datos léxicos más extensas de la lengua española que abarca desde el siglo xiii hasta el siglo xx. El objetivo de este estudio es ofrecer unas reflexiones que permitan el acercamiento al uso documentado de ambos conceptos mediante una contextualización por centurias para así poder relacionarlo con el devenir de las bibliotecas como concepto histórico y como instrumentos de apoyo a la investigación y divulgación del conocimiento humano en la historia de España.
This paper presents a brief analysis of two of the most important words in Spanish regarding the world of books: biblioteca and libreria, through a diacronic study by means of an analysis of some representative documents from two of the most extensive lexical databases in the Spanish language. This study covers a period from the thirteenth to the twentieth century, and its objective is to offer some reflections that allow an approach to a documented use of both concepts divided in centuries in order to contextualize the developing of libraries as instruments to underpinning investigation and divulging knowledge throughout history of Spain.
