Del Castigo Divino Al Diagnóstico: La Concepción De La Enfermedad En Sófocles E Hipócrates

Resumen: Este texto analiza el cambio en la noción de enfermedad que se produjo en el siglo V a.C. a través de la comparación entre nósos, insania y peste en las tragedias de Sófocles con el nuevo proceso diagnóstico que se pone en marcha con el establecimiento del corpus hipocrático. Analizando las causas, la cura y el ser de la enfermedad en el Filoctetes, Áyax y Edipo Rey, podremos observar las distancias con respecto a la concepción técnica y racional del diagnóstico hipocrático y delimitar así los procesos de desarrollo técnico, democratización del saber y de pérdida de autoridad divina que posibilitarán una medicina liberada, en tanto saber, de sus ancestrales raíces religiosas.
This text raises the change in the notion of disease that occurred in the 5th century BC. through the comparison between nósos, insanity and plague in the tragedies of Sophocles and the new diagnostic process that will be launched with the establishment of the Hippocratic corpus. Analyzing the causes, the cure and the being of the disease in the Philoctetes, Ajax and Oedipus Rex, we will be able to observe the distances with respect to the technical and rational conception of the Hippocratic diágnosis and thus delimit the processes of technical development, democratization of knowledge, loss of divine authority that will make possible a medicine liberated, as knowledge, from its ancestral religious roots.
