Sobre la libertad religiosa en Noruega. Patriotismo, luteranismo y exclusión. Su discurso constitucional

Resumen: La postura radicalmente intolerante que adoptó la Constitucion noruega ante la libertad religiosa resulta subrayable, tratándose de una de las constituciones más liberales del período revolucionario. Su artículo segundo fue mucho más allá del mero establecimiento de la confesionalidad luterana del Estado, prohibiendo el acceso al Reino de jesuitas, órdenes monacales y judíos. En un Estado nacional liberal en construcción, necesitado de elementos identitarios sobre los que levantarse, se intentó fortalecer el luteranismo como elemento preferente de cohesión nacional, sirviendo como instrumento para alentar y legitimar a la vez un emergente y singular patriotismo. El texto constitucional traicionó así su propio espíritu liberal para facilitar la estabilidad del nuevo sistema liberal al que pretendía dar cobertura legal, originando una singular paradoja.
