Resumen: This work presents a study of an isolated hybrid power plant that incorporates both conventional generation and renewable energies for practical exercises related to the subject “Electric Power Production Installations with Renewable Energy” in the 4th year of the Electrical Engineering degree program. The hybrid system comprises two mini-hydroelectric generators and a photovoltaic plant. Developed in MATLAB-Simulink, the model enables students to understand the fundamental principles of controlling a hybrid plant, with a focus on ensuring grid stability. Furthermore, automatic management of the hybrid plant is proposed as coursework.
