Resumen: El derecho internacional americano, en especial el contenido en instrumentos de derechos humanos, reconoce ciertos derechos de los individuos en relación con la nacionalidad. Este artículo estudia estos derechos desde la perspectiva de los precedentes de la Corte y la Comisión Interamericanas de Derechos Humanos. Se refiere también a otros instrumentos, del ámbito universal, que están vigentes en los Estados americanos.
American International Law, in particular Human Rights instruments, refers to certain rights of individuals in relation to nationality. This article examines these rights from the perspective of the precedents of the Inter-American Court and the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights. It also mentions other instruments, from the universal level, that are in force in the American states.
