Resumen: The increasing penetration of renewable energy and electrification of demand lead to substantial challenges for distribution grids. This, coupled with the need to increase the installed renewable capacity implies costly investments to reinforce the distribution grid. Within this scenario, the use of new grid services, such as storage or flexibility services becomes relevant to maintain the safe system operation and enhanced hosting capacity, while at lower costs.
This work presents the results of the research conducted within the Beyond H2020 and DataCellar HE projects where a holistic toolbox for Distribution System Operator (DSO) is developed, intending to facilitate network planning by using new resources to maintain the grid parameters in situations with high Distributed Energy Resources (DERs) penetration.
