Reduced-order dynamics of a DC-bus voltage-regulated inverter for steel hardening beyond Curie point temperature
Resumen: We present a reduced-order dynamic model of an industrial induction heating system working beyond the Curie temperature and operated by a regulated input-voltage resonant inverter. On the one hand, a modular hardware design for power electronics is proposed, which allows great flexibility in operation while maintaining simplicity in its control. On the other hand, a co-simulation model has been derived to ensure inverter control stability under the variable operating conditions intrinsically associated with the physical properties of the induction load. This model is based on applying a reduction of the parameters obtained from simulations carried out by employing a finite element analysis tool to use the results in CAE simulation software. To validate the obtained experimental results, a comparison has been made with the numerical results obtained from the simulation.
