“Caminantes venezolanos”. Imaginarios del destino de migrantes en tránsito por Colombia
Resumen: This article addresses the phenomenon of migrants from Venezuela whocross the border with Colombia and are recognized as “walkers”. The ob-jective is to know a part of their trajectories and the elements that wouldconfigure the imaginary about the destination they hope to reach. Thetheoretical approach is mainly articulated around triadic model of socialimaginaries of Armando Silva (2014). The methodology was exploratory:93 questionnaires with open questions were analyzed in the municipalityof Villa del Rosario in the Department of Norte de Santander in Colombia, performing triangulation in the analysis of discourse and content. It hasbeen identified that the social imaginary of the destination is a processthat is based on achieving a better future or better quality of life for walk-ers and their families, an imaginary that is not constrained by difficultiesor risks, since action is not limited Despite the long distances and the lackof clear information about the destination, which can be mentally restric-tive factors, but the desire to continue and reach the desired destinationoutweighs the weakness of the intention of the transit.
