El San Miguel venciendo al demonio del Museo de Arte Sacro de Teruel: una obra firmada del escultor Manuel Guitarte (h. 1746-1821)

Resumen: El Museo de Arte Sacro de Teruel custodia una imagen de San Miguel arcángel venciendo al demonio de pequeñas dimensiones realizada en madera dorada y policromada, firmada por el escultor Manuel Guitarte. Este texto analiza esta inédita pieza, busca sus posibles modelos y recaba información documental acerca de este artífice turolense del siglo XVIII.
The Museum of Sacred Art in Teruel preserves a small-sized image of Saint Michael the Archangel defeating the devil, made of gilded and polychrome wood, signed by the sculptor Manuel Guitarte. This text analyses this unpublished sculpture, looks for possible models and gathers information about this 18th century Teruel artist.
