Notas: This end of degree report is based on an analysis of the exercise habits of the teenage Spanish population, specifically on the reasons for the abandonment of physical activities. After reviewing multiple publications from different authors and polls performed on Spanish teenagers, we observed that it is during the teenage years when most of them stop exercising. In order to dig deeper into the reasons that push young people to give up sports, we studied the factors that influence sporting habits, and consequently their abandonment, concluding that those factors are environmental, pragmatic, biological, personal, conductual, social and psicological, among which the physical education professor, the coach and the family environment are crucial. Additionally, we briefly stated the reasons for exercise practice, or lack therof, to dive deeper into the causes for abandonment. In order to perform a quantitative and qualitative analysis fo the causes, we extracted the data provided by authors in their research and analyzed the polls performed in Spain about the causes pointed out by the young.
