Temperature-dependent electromagnetic characterisation of materials for CO2 capture and utilization
Resumen: CO2 capture and H2 generation are part of global strategies to mitigate global warming. The use of microwaves for CO2 capture and H2 generation via DRM (Dry Reforming of Methane) is one of the most promising methods for utilizing green energy. To design CO2 monolithic sorbents heated by microwaves, careful selection of materials is required to ensure they are chemically active for the expected reaction (DRM or CO2 adsorption) and have suitable electromagnetic properties for efficient heating. This article demonstrates how the electromagnetic properties of various commercial and non-commercial materials have been measured for use in constructing monoliths for microwave power applicators.
