Notas: Aporto en conserjería: Documento de originalidad y autoría del trabajo fin de grado Declaración de cumplir los requisitos establecidos en la convocatoria. Resumen disponible también en Ingles: In cases of advanced stages of an illness, as well as at the end of life, the most widespread route for drug administration is oral. However, it is known that more than 80% of cancer patients, as well as many people who are suffering from chronic illnesses, might benefit from the use of an alternative route. The use of a butterfly needle has the objective of controlling the symptoms, keeping the patient comfortable, and improving quality of life. Due to the rise in the number of people liable to receive palliative care, nursing professionals ought to integrate this technique into their common practice, as well as acquire the knowledge and skills that enable them to use it properly.
