Abstract: As I have observed in the Master’s Degree, students should develop their communicative competence by using language with a communicative purpose. This dissertation aims to present Cooperative Learning as a must for students in the 4th year of Compulsory Secondary Education. On the one hand, Cooperative Learning has become a popular teaching methodology all around the world: it is a recognized practice that promotes socialization and learning in the English Language classroom ─for Secondary Education students, in this case. On the other hand, Cooperative Learning is an effective instructive tool for students to develop their communicative skills. However, I was not able of observing Cooperative Learning being implemented according to the Communicative Language Teaching (CLT) principles.
