Recuperación de patrimonio universitario: La musa Caliope (Alegoría de la Universidad) de Félix Pescador Saldaña

Resumen: Este arti´culo da a conocer el hallazgo en 2012 de un cuadro de gran formato y tema mitolo´gico-alego´rico pintado en Pari´s en 1876 por el artista Fe´lix Pescador Saldan~a (Zaragoza, 1836-1921). Fue encargado por el rector Gero´nimo Borao para decorar la antigua sede univer- sitaria y representa la musa griega Cali´ope, aunque tambie´n podri´a ser interpretado como una Alegori´a de la Universidad. El cuadro, que se encontraba en un pe´simo estado de conservacio´n, fue restaurado en 2014 y ha sido colocado en la sala de autoridades del edificio Paraninfo de la Universidad de Zaragoza.
This article announces the finding in 2012 of a picture of great format of mythological- allegoric topic painted in Paris in 1876 for the artist Fe´lix Pescador Saldan~a (Saragossa, 1836-1921). It belonged entrusted by the rector Gero´nimo Borao to decorate the former university seat and it represents the muse Cali´ope, though also it might be interpreted as an Allegory of the University. The picture, which one was finding in a terrible condition of conservation, was restored in 2014 and there has been placed in the room of authorities of the Paraninfo of the University of Saragossa.
