Ropas tendidas: la necesidad del contrapunto arquitectónico [Lined Clothes: the Need for Architectural Counterpoint]

Resumen: El objetivo de este texto es poner en valor y justificar teóricamente la presencia del contrapunto expresivo en la composición arquitectónica, entendida como lenguaje formal pero también como experiencia espacial y fenomenológica. Tomando como excusa la exploración visual de la presencia de ropas tendidas en el espacio urbano y doméstico y el alcance conceptual de la jaula —real y metafórica— en el ámbito del arte y de la arquitectura, se pretende desenmascarar la rigidez encorsetadora de la retícula y de la trama y, por el contrario, poner en valor la libertad expresiva que esta adquiere, cuando se matiza con el elemento disonante de lo diferente.

The aim of this paper is to theoretically assess and justify the presence of an expressive counterpoint in the architectural composition,understood as a formal language, but also as a spatial and phenomenological experience. Taking as an excuse the visual exploration of the presence of hanged up clothes in the urban and domestic space and the conceptual scope of the cage-real and metaphorical-in the field of art and architecture, it is intended to unmask the stiffness of the grid and the weave and, on the contrary, to assess the expressive freedom that it acquires when it is nuanced with the dissonant element of the different.
