Biografías infantiles y juveniles de escritores españoles en el marco de la lectura no ficcional y de la construcción del canon literario contemporáneo

Resumen: A partir del auge editorial que han experimentado los libros de no ficción en las últimas décadas, las investigaciones se han centrado en el análisis de sus elementos compositivos y en los beneficios que pueden generar en la educación literaria. Sin embargo, existe un desfase entre su proyección académica y su uso en las aulas, ya que sigue existiendo una preferencia por los libros de ficción. Por otro lado, existe una clara tendencia de algunos títulos a la hibridación y al acercamiento del texto informativo a los recursos de la ficción, con el fin de reforzar los vínculos entre el aprendizaje de contenidos objetivos y la búsqueda de la empatía del lector a través de personajes con los que pueda identificarse. Este es el lugar que ocupan las biografías infantiles, que constituyen un material fundamental para la transmisión del canon y, al mismo tiempo, atraen la atención del lector a través de fórmulas mixtas entre la narrativa juvenil y el libro de no ficción. Por ello, este estudio analiza un amplio corpus de biografías infantiles de escritores españoles para orientar al mediador en el proceso de selección de textos y analizar el lugar que ocupan en la construcción del canon actual.

Since the publishing boom that nonfiction books have experienced in recent decades, research has focused on the analysis of their compositional elements and the benefits they can generate in literary education. However, there is a gap between their academic projection and their use in the classroom, as there is still a preference for fiction books. On the other hand, there is a clear tendency of some titles to hybridization and the approach of informative text to fiction resources, in order to reinforce the links between the learning of objective contents and the search for the reader's empathy through characters with whom he/she can identify. This is the place occupied by children's biographies, which constitute a fundamental material for the transmission of the canon and, at the same time, attract the reader's attention through mixed formulas between the juvenile narrative and the non-fiction book. For this reason, this study analyzes a wide corpus of children's biographies of Spanish writers to guide the mediator in the process of text selection and to analyze the place they occupy in the construction of the current canon.
