Dionisio de Halicarnaso y los primeros analistas romanos

Resumen: Los dos testimonios relativos a Fabio Píctor y a Cincio Alimento que presentan las Antigüedades romanas de Dionsio de Halicarnaso son fruto del contacto directo con sus obras. Su sentido exacto es analizado con el fin de comprender la opinión de Dionisio sobre el lugar de estas obras en el contexto de la primitiva historiografía latina. Si se tienen en cuenta los pasajes referidos, algunas de las interpretaciones habituales de la primera generación de analistas deben ser reformuladas.
The two testimonia about Fabius Pictor’ and Alimentus Annals contained in Dionysius’ Antiquitates romanae are the result of direct acquaintance with their works. Their precise sense is analysed in order to understand Dionysius’ perception of the nature and context of the first Latin historiography. Taken the two passages in consideration, some of the traditional interpretations of the Annalist’s first generation should be
reconsidered.
